Meet Ellen. She and her family were referred to Giraffe by a close friend. So, wanting to try a different photographer for her second daughter’s senior portraits, she gave us call. Here’s what they got!

It’s cool to be Kelsie Poole. This is the second half of Kelsie’s Senior Photo Session and we had even more fun this time. She was very chipper and loves to laugh at the Giraffe. Well, my jokes, which are usually pretty lame. Have a look at her pics.

Meet Kris & Sarah. They are getting married this October and decided it was time to get their engagement photos done. So, you might be wondering, when is the best time to get your engagement photos done. Well on an average, most clients tend to do this 3-6 months before the wedding. And some, do it even earlier. It’s really just personal preference, but you shouldn’t wait till the last minute either, like one week before the wedding. If you haven’t set your session up yet, call us today. It takes about 20 minutes of your time, and you’ll have a great memoir of being a couple before you were married!

Just the other day, I had a client ask me ”why their photo wasn’t on the blog?” So you might be wondering why some photo shoots are highlighted and others aren’t. The truth is, we just don’t have time to put every photo shoot we do on the blog. So, when I do a posting, I usually just copy and paste a few random photos from my computer desktop. When it comes to weddings, we try to post all of those, as it is easier to keep up with weddings. Right now we are in the process of getting some of our studio tasks simplified to get more posts put up and faster! Thanks for all your support as we continue to grow our business!
Meet Nate & Rachel Simenec. They were married at Geneseo Evangelical Church in….none other than Geneseo. After the wedding, everyone headed to Lavender Crest Winery for the Reception. We love going out to Lavender Crest. The scenery is awesome for backgrounds, and we always have great wine to take home. Here is a look at their wedding photos.

It was very hot & humid out. I tell people and I wonder if they believe me, but I lose about 10 pounds every summer just from humidity. And this Saturday was no exception from the harsh Midwest weather! Kelly & Brian Harry were married at St. Ambrose university. From there we headed downtown for some great photo ops, then finished the evening at the Clarion. Here is a look their photos!

Elaine & Jeff had a great time working with Joe & Shawna Youngbaur at there wedding. Ceremony was held at St. Ambrose Chapel. And their reception was within walking distance at the Rogaski Center right on campus. Here is a small sampling of their big day.

Some great ones Jeff took…

Ryan & Christianne Sprangers were married at Bass St Landing with the reception following at Stoney Creek. They were a very nice couple to work with and it was alot of fun working with them.

Meet Zach & Megan Cripe. They were married at Duck Creek Pavillion. Although the weather proved to be very hot & humid, it certainly didn’t show in the photos which turned out beautiful.
Take a look.

Jeff Loder had the privelage of working with Aaron & Maria Rex, who had a lovely wedding ceremony at St. Peters Church in Bettendorf. Also, one of Aarons family members was kind of enough to let Maria and him use his antique car for some photo ops. It made for some really great portraits.

Meet Sabrina & Adam Lowe. They were married at the Edgington Presbyterian Church and their reception followed at the new Jumer’s Casino. On the way to the reception we made a pit stop at Loud Thunder Forest Preserve to get some beautiful outdoor portraits.

Little Kai finally turned one and Elaine had a fun time photographing this little guy. Usually, one is our hardest stage to photograph babies because they get very “clingly” to mom, or they put their active legs to use and run all over the place. Thankfully, Kai was all smiles. See for yourself.

We’re all so familar with Michelle’s sister. We did her baby photos last year and now its Michelle’s turn.

Had to get one with her sister!

Meet the Meyer’s family. After seeing their friends photos take at Giraffe, they knew where they wanted to go. They wanted something different, capturing their candid side, our specialty.

This camera loves this young lady. She could totally model if you she wanted to. Take a look at what we got.
