Meet Torey & Nicole Defauw. Elaine photographed their wedding/reception at the River Center in Downtown Davenport. They went all over downtown looking for cool new photo spots, and it looks like they achieved their goal!

Meet Philip & Anne Randall. They had one of the Abbey Hotel’s last weddings. You see, the Abbey is going to become a drug rehab center, and will no longer hold wedding cermonys at the Hotel. However, the Abbey Station in Rock Island will still host wedding receptions and they will be having a Briday Expo there Sunday, October 5, 1-4pm.
Enough about that, here is a sneak peek of Phil & Anne’s big day. Yes, that’s an umbrella you see, it did rain all day! 
Meet Michael & Kelley O’Calahan. They are from Ireland. One tradition they have from back home is to get a photo of everyone from the wedding on the church’s front steps. Elaine made it happen too. Here are some of Elaine’s favorites.
Meet Joe & Megan Osterberg. They were married in Eldridge, Iowa in Joe’s parents backyard. It was the perfect day for an outdoor wedding with clear blue skies and a breeze. Since there was huge pond in the backyard, I put Joe and Megan in a paddleboat for some unique photos. The reception followed at the River Center in Downtown Davenport where we got even more kick butt photos. Here is a sample from the day.
Meet baby Avery. She is one and already owns her own Mustang. Dad was even kind enough to give her driving lessons.
Sam just turned one and he was a handful. This kid can run fast. I could barely keep up with the little guy.
Meet Dan & Lisa Reitinger. They’re members of my baby club and got married recently in Mexico. So when they decided to have their reception in the Quad Cities, they knew who to call. Here is a sneek peek.

A lot of photographers anymore, fully rely on photoshop to make terrible photos look better. At Giraffe yes, we too use photoshop, but we don’t rely on it. In fact, the photos below were not altered an any way. All original lighting, straight out of the camera. What sounds better, a great photographer, or a great photoshoper??
