You might have noticed we haven’t posted a whole lot on the blog recently. To be honest, we have been very swamped with wedding season coming to an end and all the seniors and babies we been photographing each week has really been adding to the work load. We even hired part time help to allow us to catch up. So, to simplify things and keep you updated we are going to start putting all posts on our Facebook Page. Make sure you add Giraffe Photography to your friends list and become a Fan of our page!
Look Who’s Engaged – Aaron and Katie
Looking forward to the years ahead.

What a cute couple! Easy to work with.
Eric & Hila’s Engagment Pics..
This has been a great year for outdoor sessions. Normally, August is so hot and humid, you can barely stand to be outside out for more than five minutes. But, we’ve been blessed with a cooler than normal August. The nice thing is, we’re not rushing to get inside because of intense heat. Plus, we don’t have to worry about photo-shopping out sweaty armpits.

Felix & Amber’s Engagement Pics
At Giraffe we always try to have fun with our couples. It makes for better expressions and a less tense session. And Felix and Amber were no exception. We had a great time capturing their personality. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding this fall.

Engagement Photos, When Should You Get Them?
Meet Kris & Sarah. They are getting married this October and decided it was time to get their engagement photos done. So, you might be wondering, when is the best time to get your engagement photos done. Well on an average, most clients tend to do this 3-6 months before the wedding. And some, do it even earlier. It’s really just personal preference, but you shouldn’t wait till the last minute either, like one week before the wedding. If you haven’t set your session up yet, call us today. It takes about 20 minutes of your time, and you’ll have a great memoir of being a couple before you were married!

If You Haven’t Had Your Engagement Photos Taken Yet…
Than Call Today. Spring is one of the best times to do your engagement photos. Why, well for starters it’s not 340 degrees outside. Since we are located in the village, weather permitting, we take alot of our couples outside here. Second, if your having a late summer/fall wedding, its simply a change of scenary for your engagement session.

With that in mind, I’ve listed some clothing tips, since we get asked all the time “Stephen, what should I wear?” Well for starters, clothes. We don’t do boudoir photos here.
On a serious note, wear solid neutral colors. No patterns (pin-stripes are okay..noticed how I said okay) solids look better. And never wear matching shirts. Instead, if he is gonna wear dark gray, then you wear light gray. Or dark chocolate and tan. Keep it simple. Guys, if your going to shave for your photoshoot (up to you) do it the night before to avoid having razor burn in your photos. If you have any questions, just call the studio. Remember, there is never a dumb question.
Talk About A Photogenic Couple!
Come May we will be photographing Jeremy and Kelsi’s Wedding, and I cannot wait. As a photographer, sometimes it’s a real challenge to put people in a relaxed state-of-mind. But I watch the dog whisperer, and I know that I must be the dominant leader…..
Ok just kidding.
On a serious note, Jeremy and Kelsi were very relaxed, acted like the camera wasn’t even around and were probably one of my most photogenic couples of the season so far!

Brett & Becky
Wedding is coming up in May, but that doesn’t mean it was too late for them to miss out on getting their engagement photos taken.

Ryan & Kristi Chillin Out….Literally
It was abit cold outside for their engagement session, but that’s why we work quickly. Don’t want frostbite to kick in and permanately damange our shutter finger.
